Maybe this week feels heavy.
Maybe it feels lonely.
Maybe it’s quietly overwhelming in a way you can’t fully explain.

Whatever you’re carrying right now, you don’t have to carry it perfectly.

This episode of The Better You Show was created as a place to pause — not to fix anything, not to figure anything out — but simply to feel a little more supported during a season that asks a lot of us.

When the Holidays Feel Lonely (Even Around Other People)

The holidays can be one of the loneliest times of year.

Even when we’re surrounded by people.
Even when we’re busy.
Even when everything looks “fine” on the outside.

When you’re stretched thin, it can feel like there’s no space left for you.

One gentle reminder shared in this episode is the power of hearing another human voice. Not a text. Not a message you have to decode. Just a voice.

Sometimes sending a simple voice note — or listening to a familiar, comforting voice — can remind you that you’re not alone, even in moments that feel isolating.

And if reaching out feels like too much right now, that’s okay too. Sometimes comfort comes from a song, a podcast, or a quiet moment where someone else’s voice helps you feel less alone in your experience.

A Simple Way to Feel More Supported in the Moment

Support doesn’t always come from doing more.

Sometimes it starts with pausing.

One simple practice is placing your hand over your heart, taking a slow breath in, and letting the exhale last a little longer than the inhale.

And then, gently telling yourself what you need to hear — words like:

I see you.
“I’m here with you.
“You don’t have to have everything figured out.

These moments aren’t about fixing anything. They’re about reminding your nervous system that you’re safe, supported, and allowed to slow down.

Permission to Let Go of the To-Do List

This season comes with endless lists — errands, expectations, responsibilities, traditions.

But one powerful reframe is this: What if your to-do list became a ta-da list?1

Instead of focusing on what didn’t get done, take a moment to notice what you did do. The effort you made. The energy you gave. The care you showed.

You don’t need to explain yourself to anyone.
You don’t need to finish everything.
This season doesn’t require perfection.

It asks for presence.

Nothing Is Wrong With You

This part matters.

Feeling the way you do right now doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you.

If anything, it often means you care.
It means this season matters to you.
It means you’re human.

Your feelings are yours, and they are always valid.
You matter.
You are worthy just as you are.

And if it’s hard to believe that right now, let this be enough for the moment: someone else believes it for you and will hold the space until you believe it too.

A Holiday Wish for You

Our coaches have a simple wish for you — not advice, not expectations — just a hope for you during this season.

A wish that you give yourself permission:

  • to rest
  • to say no without guilt
  • to let go of what drains you
  • to choose yourself, even in small ways

Boundaries aren’t selfish. They’re how you protect your energy so you can show up for what truly matters.

Even one small choice — a nap, a quiet afternoon, a moment without your phone — can create space to breathe.

A Moment Card for Right Now

At the end of the episode, we continue a quiet holiday tradition.

Last week, we shared a word you could carry into the future.
This week, the focus is on the present.

We’re offering what we call a moment card — a simple word with a short reminder you can come back to when things feel rushed, heavy, or overwhelming.

It’s not guidance.
It’s not advice.
It’s just a small pause you can use if it feels helpful.

If you’d like one, you can comment “WORD” on the video, and we’ll reply with a moment card for you.

And if not, that’s okay too.

Before You Go

If someone came to mind while you were reading this — even for a second — that might be your instinct noticing they could use this too.

You don’t have to explain anything.
You can simply share it as a quiet way of saying, I was thinking of you.

Whether you keep this just for yourself or pass it along, I’m really glad you were here.

Always remember:
You matter.
Please take care.
